Alexander McQueen vs Steve Madden: Zipper Peep-Toe Booties

So, I am preparing for my trip to NY next month for Fashion Week! I'm so excited! This will be my first time being there during this time, and attending a few shows!
Anyway, I am looking for some new peep-toe booties (because my Aldos are just about done) and I ran across these Steve Madden zipper peep-toe booties, only to realize they are a spitting image of the Alexander McQueens!
I'm torn. I love the shoe, but cannot afford the originals for over $1,000. On the other hand, is it tacky to wear an exact replica of the real thing? Hmmm....
What do you think?

I would get the Steve Maddens. Who is going to know? As far as the public is concerned, you spent $1000 on some awesome shoes, not $100.
