Paris Fashion Week: Sophie Theallet

Sophie Theallet's Spring 2009 is breathtaking! From floor-length gowns to knee-length frocks and skirts, the sultry and elegantly sophisticated 32-piece collection is something to buzz about--not to mention the warm, earthy color palette. Since Fashion Week Spring 2009 has prompted designers to make the advance to include more women of color models in their shows, Sophie Theallet has risen above the rest. Her entire collection featured all black models. I commend her for making the effort--this certainly is a step in the right direction for more diversity on the runway. Black is beautiful!
