Well, the most anticipated event in the fashion world is finally here! Fashion Week, Spring 2009 has begun today, while style icons, celebrities and budding fashionistas are itching for the latest trends of the upcoming season. Purple Glamour will be following the event daily so stay tuned! Of course we can't wait to see what the veterans have to offer, but we are most anxious to see how the under-the-radar designers break out of their shells!
A while back, I spotlighted a fresh, yet distinctive designer, Rachel Roy. Although her label is only three years-old, the designs are anything but young and inexperienced. The spring line foreshadows elegance and relaxed prestige. From embellished tulip skirts and dresses to jumpers in lightweight fabrics, Rachel Roy is rapidly making her mark!
