Fashion Week Spring '10: BCBG Max Azria

Artistic pleasure was the rule of thumb for the spring BCBG show. Thigh-bearing frocks were the staple, with a couple of floor-length dresses, in a myriad of colors.

Watercolors mixed with sheer textures put me in a trance of elegance and edgy style. I can't get enough of this wrapped bandage frock. Mixing textures is oh so chic, and I love the way the bright-colored pieces are mixed with sheer black fabric. Sold bold colors with neutral blocks offered the perfect alternative for day, while the wrapped textures and mixed watercolors are made for night.

The contrasting shoulder is recurring in more dramatic silhouettes, with one sleeveless shoulder to the latter three-fourth length on the other.

Accessories were kept to a minimum to offset the dramatic designs. Strappy sandals were paired with each fabulous frock, in simple neutrals and metallics, and matching hand-size clutches with tasty accents kept me wanting more. Well done.
