CFDA Adds "Popular Vote Award" to CFDA Fashion Awards

If you are a devoted WWD reader as I am, you have noticed the chance to see your favorite designer at New York Fashion Week if you vote for your favorite designer.

Well, the CFDA has partnered up with L'oréal Paris through WWD to give us the opportunity to vote for our favorite men's and women's designers from May 27th to June 9th. The winner of the Popular Vote Award will be announced at the CFDA Fashion Awards on June 15th. The contest also coincides with WWD's 10th anniversary issue, which will publish on June 9th.

“This new Award enables the public to really get involved with the Awards and voice an opinion as to their favorite designer, said Steven Kolb, CFDA Executive Director. "Anyone can win this. Fashion has become such a pop culture phenomenon so we are pleased that L'Oréal Paris is helping bring the voice of the people to the Awards.”
