As we all know, fashion repeats itself--sort of like history--and includes eras and trends. We are always informed, at least a season ahead of time, what's going to be hot so we can prepare, and be fashion--forward, if we so choose. Here are my style inspirations for the summer-fall transition this year...
Alexander WangAlexander Wang made it okay for us girls to be comfy and rugged, yet undeniably chic, and still girly. I think the reinvented rocker chick trend will always be with us (note to self: buy a leather vest!)

We all need a couple of dresses and skirts for those nights out with the girls, dinner dates and fab events. Even Ms. DVF has caught onto the edgy facade, with her own fabulous twist. Slouchy pieces will always be dear to our hearts.
Rag & Bone
Although a darker color palette for your transition to fall is ideal, Rag & Bone embraces the neutrals in a fascinating way. I can't help but imagine how I would wear that slouchy salmon-colored top (far left) with some slouchy denim shorts, tights and brown mule flat booties.
Zac PosenThe 40s era is where fashion is traveling back to, and Zac Posen embraces this trend with sheer elegance and swingy fringes. Keep your eyes peeled for designs like these all over the runways!
