Marc Jacobs explained why he wanted the insanely energetic, gorgeous, older woman for the ad campaign because, "I was so blown away by it, and moved by her performance, by what she had to say, and her energy."

The ad, shot by Steven Meisel, is a six-fold storyteller, with an admittedly cliché Parisian atmosphere.

I am looking forward to the ad. Madonna is edgy is nature, yet she can still give a classic approach. Although I don't think any woman over 40 should be able to kick their leg that high up in the air, she's Madonna so she can do that. I imagine her in one of the photos holding a thick fur coat and a vintage longstem cigarette holder against bold red lipstick. Ok, maybe that's a bit too predictable, but she would look darned cool doing it.
